Ailsa steps up to become a new Chair

I am delighted to have taken up the role of Chair of the PFS Committee for the Lancashire, Merseyside & Cumbria region.  Since joining the committee as a Support Officer in 2019 I have seen first-hand how hard the committee works to support its members, new and old, by organising topical CPD events for advisers and paraplanners, providing relevant exam training and revision courses and offering mentoring to new professionals.

I feel that professionalism within the industry is extremely important if we are to ensure that clients everywhere receive high quality advice, leading to the best outcomes.  I have also enjoyed being part of a committee that supports the wider community, particularly younger people, with initiatives such as promoting financial awareness in schools and offering careers advice and I look forward to this opportunity to be able to contribute further.
